Enrolment is for the full school term. Tuition fees are payable in advance, either by half-term or full term, and are due before or on the first lesson of each payment period.
Payment may be made by bank transfer using the details provided on the invoice.
Fees remain payable for the full term regardless of student absences, holidays, changes in personal circumstances or a decision to discontinue lessons during the term.
At least 24 hours’ notice must be provided if a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full and will not be credited, refunded or rescheduled.
Where at least 24 hours’ notice has been provided, the teacher may voluntarily offer an alternative lesson time if a suitable opportunity becomes available. Alternative lessons are subject entirely to the teacher’s availability and cannot be guaranteed.
Regular attendance is strongly encouraged to support consistent musical progress.
If the teacher is unable to provide a scheduled lesson due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time or credited toward future tuition.
Once an alternative or rescheduled lesson has been agreed upon, it is treated as a confirmed lesson.
Fees will not be credited, refunded or transferred if the student does not attend the agreed rescheduled lesson.
A minimum of two weeks’ written notice is required if a student intends to discontinue tuition.
As enrolment is a commitment for the full term, withdrawal during a term does not remove the obligation to pay the remaining term fees.
To avoid being enrolled and charged for the following term, notice must be provided at least two weeks before the beginning of that term.
Tuition periods generally coincide with NSW public school terms.
Lessons are not normally held on public holidays, and public holidays will not be included in tuition fees.
Lessons during school holidays may be arranged by mutual agreement and will be charged separately.
Students are responsible for obtaining the music books, sheet music, manuscripts, notebooks and other materials required for tuition.
The teacher will advise which materials should be purchased.
Parents or guardians accompanying students may wait quietly in the studio. To allow the student to concentrate and the lesson to proceed effectively, parents and guardians are asked not to interrupt or participate unless invited by the teacher.
